Birds & Bees
Acrylic on weathered fence boards (5.5 feet x 14 inches)
(This piece is sold, however, please inquire about a commission for $375)

A little study in combining two of my favorite things in nature that fly, though artistic design.
Floral Note Cards
Watercolor and graphite original image, printed on 80# white card stock.
4 1/4" x 5 3/8" (fits in A2 envelope)
Blank inside. Red: "determination"; Blue: "inspiration"; Green: "motivation"
$3.00 each (envelope included)

Inspired by my three-legged dog Sage, these cards each feature three large flowers, and each has 5 graphite spheres hidden throughout the design. The three flowers represent Sage's actual three legs, but the 5 spheres represent the idea that she acts like she has 5 legs. Inspiration, Motivation, and Determination. Good things come in threes.
All Dogs Note Cards
Acrylic paint (original images on canvas), printed on 80# white card stock.
4 1/4" x 5 3/8" (fits in A2 envelope).

All Dogs Are Angels (even the little devils)

$3.00 each (envelope included)

Everyone's dog is an angel, and they'll all go to Heaven....even when they get into the trash, or steal something off the table, or chew up your favorite pillow....right?
Blackbirds Dying in the Dead of Night
Acrylic on weathered fence boards (5 feet x 20 inches)
$375
SOLD

Late in the night on December 31st, 2010, thousands of red-winged blackbirds mysteriously fell to the ground, dead. The cause was unknown...possibly a lightening strike, hail, or new year’s eve fireworks, though some believe it could have been due to military tests or even pesticides. Regardless, the story made me so sad. I wanted to create a small tribute to them, and the Beatles song lent itself well to just what I wanted to say.
Chopsticks
Acrylic on wood, chipboard, carpet tacks, wire, great grandma’s buttons, tea bag paper

Does anyone else crave Chinese food when you are looking at this piece? No...? Just me....?
Ok. Never mind.

No matter how far you fly from the nest, your roots are always within you. Even if you lift yourself up as high as you can go, the pattern of your roots will always color your soul in one way or another. Embrace it.
